Synopsis: The Kosacken are involved in fights, cited by Alessio
Andrejewis, son of the famous "black Adlers" that was confessed for
that that he defended the revolt cited by general Volkansky against
the Kosacken. In a hard counterattack in the palace of the governor,
three men of the "black Adlers" are taken caught and are convicted to
the death. To free it in the attempt, Alessio gefangengenommen
becomes, however Captain Romanoffs niece Natascia helps them to the
flight. Volkansky receives comes the pursuit, it to fights, and
Volkansky is killed in a duel. Now the "black Adler" Romanoff lets
cause the czar to grant the Kosacken freedoms and independence. |
|
Here is an excellent
costume adventure directed by Guido Malatesta. After Czar Alexander II
names the vicious General Volkonsky as governor of the Caucasus, the
Cossocks decide to plan a revolt. Alessio Andrejevic, a young
nobleman, adopts his father's alias, "the black eagle," and begins to
free villagers from the terror and tyrrany of Imperial Russia. This
film boasts some wonderful cinematography by Augusto Tiezzi, as well
as favorable roles for Mimmo Palmara, Loris Gizzi, and Andrea Aureli
(the latter of whom actually gets to play a good guy for a change).
This film also has a remarkable mucic score (by Angelo Francesco
Lavagnino), and contains one of the best battle scenes I've ever
witnessed! The fact that Umberto Lenzi wrote the original storyline
for this film is icing on the cake. This film is simply too good to be
true. by VideoImports / U.S.A. |

Synopsis:
Medieval soldier of fortune Ettore is
travelling through Europe with his partners looking for fight where
they can earn some money. When they come across a Spanish castle
under siege by the French army, Ettore first bides his time to
determine which side is the winning one (and thus more likely to pay
his fee). This is as first the French, but the treatment he receives
from them is unpleasant enough to make him change his mind and turn
to the Spanish side. Somehow, Ettore must rally the weakened Spanish
troops to battle their enemy long enough for reinforcements to
arrive. Summary written by Jean-Marc Rocher |

n'est pas de cape et d'épée qui veut, il ne suffit pas d'avoir une

| It is 1625, the
city of Casale has been lain to siege by the governor of Milan, Don
Gonzale of Cordova. It is, however, the grasping and obsequious
vice-governor who is terrorising the population, trying to worm his
way into the favour of the Spanish forces. Diana, however, is spared
his tyranny; her noble blood and considerable inheritance make her
an ideal marriage proposition for the vice-governor, who solicits
the help of her sister, Elisabetta, to engineer the marriage.
However, Diana is fated to love another, the soldier Marco. He
attacks the vice-governor, but in the violent clash that follows his
beloved Diana is mortally wounded. Stricken with grief and anger,
Marco sets his heart on revenge, and after many actionpacked scenes
he finally runs the vice-governor to ground and kills him. The film
ends most happily with Marco's wedding to Maria Dolores, a young
girl who reminds him of Diana. |

Schwungvoll
und dynamisch in den Kampfszenen. In 70 mm gedrehte aufwändige
Produktion und ein enormer Publikumserfolg in Frankreich (3 Mio.
Zuschauer) und Italien (6 Mio.). |
