The largest Persian
Production translated into Arabic that tells the story of Mariam the
wholly mother of Jesus (Peace be upon them). it starts in the 16th
century B.C. with Herod the Great and his rule to Jerusalem with his
Roman allies. Mariam is born and raised by Zachariah. She joins the
temple to learn all about her religion, which leads to making the many
people angry because only boys could join and learn. Later when she
grow up she is told by Gabriel that she will give birth by the command
of Allah and this new born will be the new prophet of the Jews. She
becomes pregnant and run away to the desert where she gives birth to
Jesus. As she comes back fasting from speaking, She is accused by the
people of Jerusalem by committing adultery. Mariam is not able to
defend herself because God commanded her to refrain from speaking for
a few days, which makes the people confirm their accusations. A
miracle happens when Jesus the infant speaks defending his mother. The
people become shocked and speechless with this great miracle and bow
to the one and only might GOD "ALLAH". |

| Synopsis: Notorious
for the use of color tinted scenes from earlier
black-and-white Weissmuller movies. Some critics rank it as
the worst Tarzan movie. Miller's only Tarzan film. This movie
has little connection with the 1932 original. It does, however,
have lifted footage (tinted to more-or-less match the color),
including obvious footage of Weissmuller's vine-swinging. Miller
is not once called Tarzan in the movie, and his yell is also
lifted Weissmuller. The elephants who wreck the pygmy village
are lifted/tinted from the original, but the "pygmies" (real in
the original) were kids from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles.
Costumes are left over from "King Solomon's Mines" so that more
stock footage could be lifted. And the crocodile fight is taken
from "Tarzan and his Mate". Summary written by Ed Stephan |

| Synopsis:
A couple of
thugs, after some Amazon gold, kill an old prospector.
Unfortunately for the killers, the prospector was a friend
of Tarzan. An odd, inept movie. The Amazons have no real
place in the movie; it's their gold but they certainly
don't defend it. Hawkes, who looks a little like Ron Ely
or Elvis, is called "Zan" and has a talking
(poker playing!!) parrot as a companion. Lots of running
around but it doesn't make a lot of sense. Hawkes' yell is
wonderful! |

Mystery of the Jungle (1972) |
|
aka TARZAN Y EL MISTERIO DE LA SELVA (1973) aka:
TARZAN AND THE JUNGLE MYSTERY
(1972) aka Mystery of the Jungle |
| Credits:
|
Synopsis: Richard
Yestaran. Didi Sherman. A Nazi war criminal, hidden in the jungles of
Africa, is running guns to the presumably hostile natives (we don't
see much of them). The governments of the world send an inept band of
agents, poorly disguised as a reverend and four nuns, to investigate.
The real "Jungle Mystery" in this film is the motive behind the
villain's gunrunning! It is never explained and makes no sense.
Equally mysterious is the inclusion of Tarzan in the story - he
doesn't do anything! |
