Synopsis:
Believe In Magic Billy has
just moved to a small town in Vermont with his mother
Julie (Anne Archer) after a car crash which killed his
father and left him partly paralysed. Here the kids tease
him, and his one friend Carolyn only embarrasses him.
One day Billy and his mum visit a small travelling
sideshow which features a pathetic phoney unicorn – a pony
with a plastic horn glued to its head. The alcoholic owner
of the side-show taunts and abuses the pony, so Billy
offers to buy it.
But this is no ordinary pony. In fact, she is pregnant,
and Billy and Carolyn handle the birth themselves – a
small foal with a strange little bump on its head which
Billy names Nico.
Nico grows quickly, and so does an ivory horn on his head.
Strange things happen around Nico; lush gardens grow,
springs of water erupt from his hoof marks, and all the
animals of the forest lay by his side. He really is a
Unicorn!
But there are others who have heard
about this strange unicorn, and reporters begin to crowd
around Billy’s little farm. Billy is caught. What can he
do to hide a unicorn? He realises that he must take Nico
away, back to his own secrete world. He will need help if
he is to save this wondrous magical animal from
destruction |

Synopsis:
Snow White is the fairest woman in the
land. But the Wicked Queen orders the hunter to kill her so she can be
the fairest woman. When the hunter lets Snow White escape, she flees
to the home of the 7 dwarves. But the Queen knows she's alive, so she
sets out to kill her herself. After tying a belt too tight around her
waist the first time, and putting a poisoned hair-clip in her hair the
second time, she finally gets her wish. The taste of the poisoned
apple sends Snow White to her death. A storm breaks out soon after,
and the Queen is killed by a lightning strike. The dwarves keep guard
over Snow White's body, awaiting any hope of her waking up... |

Synopsis:
A prince, seeking the greatest treasure
meets with seven little men guarding a coffin. They tell him of Snow
White, a child loved by all, who ran away from home to grow up in
safety with the dwarves when her step-mother tries to have her killed.
Everything is content (there's even singing) until the queen finds out
she's alive. Using disguises that Snow White would trust (like a
costume resembling a doll the princess had loved when she was 7 years
old) she tries three more times to destroy her only rival. Summary

Synopsis:
Born from a drop of blood in a flutter of
apple blossoms, and framed in ebony, a young girl named Snow White
becomes the blessing of a loving peasant couple, John and Josephine.
But with her birth comes a curse and the end of her mother's life.
Left alone with an infant daughter, John braves a brutal winter in
search of food for his starving angel. Salvation comes unexpectedly
when the father's tears melt the frozen tomb of a bewitched creature,
the Green-Eyed One. In thanks, the insinuating beast grants John three
wishes: nourishment for Snow White, a kingdom in which to raise his
family and a queen by his side. But John's cause for celebration is
short-lived. For the Green-Eyed One has devious plans for the
well-being of his own family. Owing his loathsome spellcasting
daughter, Elspeth, a long-awaited wish, he encourages her desires for
appointment to the throne. A kingdom to rule is hers for the waiting,
the new King John is hers for the belittling and a luscious little
stepdaughter named Snow White, is hers to toy with and destroy at
will. The castle awaits. A looking glass is calling. And a fairy tale
like no other begins... by John Nickolaus

Based somewhat more authentically on the
Grimm Brothers' story of a young woman who is unliked by her
stepmother, the film includes the talking mirror, a poisoned apple,
and some ruffian gold (not diamond) miners (and they aren't dwarfs or
cute). It takes place at the time of the Crusades, and depicts the
attitudes of the wealthy and the peasant classes toward one another.

Synopsis:
This animated feature based on the classic
"Swan Lake" follows the travails of Prince Derek and his pals, a frog,
a turtle and a puffin, as they try to save Princess Odette from the
evil wizard Rothbart. Features the voices of Jack Palance, John Cleese,
Sandy Duncan, Steven Wright and others.Children's animated version of
the classic "Swan Lake," "The Swan Princess" is the enchanting story
of a beautiful princess who is changed into a swan by an evil
sorcerer. In her captivity she becomes friends with an odd assortment
of characters: a frog, a turtle, and a bird. However, only a vow of
everlasting love can break the spell. The production, which took 4 1/2
years to complete, utilized the skills of more than 250 artists, who
produced 220,000 hand-drawn acetate panels or cels. Director Richard
Rich rejected the option of using computer technology in the animation
process. Though computers would have saved time and were more
cost-effective, he felt that the image they produced lacked the depth
of color that hand-painting created. A Rich Animal Studios Production. |

Brilliant cinematography, an imaginative
screenplay, haunting ballads, and splendid acting combine in this
enchanting fantasy based on French legend. The Devil sends two
envoys to Earth in the form of a minstrel couple to wreak anarchy on
hapless mortals. Much to the Devil's dismay, instead of corrupting
the human race, he finds he has no lasting power over affairs of the
heart. |
