Synopsis:
After seven hundred years, the
secret of the fountain of youth, and its whereabouts, fall
into the possession of a young man. The young man and a
local girl called Ghazaleh set out to find the fountain. A
man called Morteza also has become aware of the fountain's
existence and sets out, with his two brothers, to pursue
the youth. When they believe that they are near the
fountain, Morteza murders his brothers and tries to kill
the young man and Ghazaleh. But they kill him instead.
Ironically, the young man and Ghazaleh cannot drink from
the fountain, for anybody who is in love is prohibited
from drinking from the fountain. Noted primarily for its
spectacular qualities. |

Synopsis:
La
Montez plays a dual role as twin sisters Tollea and Naja, rivals to
the throne of a mythical oriental kingdom. The evil twin rules her
people by exploiting their religious superstitions; the good twin
hopes to regain the throne and restore freedom to the peasantry.
Meanwhile, Prince Ramu (Jon Hall), the good twin's husband-to-be,
struggles manfully to protect his sweetheart from harm, with the aid
of his dim-witted assistant Kado (Sabu). Co-scripted by Richard
Brooks (light-years removed from Lord Jim and In Cold Blood), the
campy storyline of Cobra Woman accommodates everything from harem
dancers to erupting volcanoes. It isn't believable for a single
moment, but that's all part of the fun. (PS: It is said that Cobra
Woman was the primary inspiration for Jack Smith's Flaming
Creatures, starring female impersonator Mario Montez!)
