| PHARAOH'S CURSE (1956) | (1956 - aka Curse of the Pharaoh) dir: Lee Sholem; w/ Mark Dana, Ziva Shapir (aka Ziva Rodann), Diane Brewster. · · · It's Egypt, 1902, and the peasants are revolting. So some British soldiers are sent to retrieve an archeological party -- along the way, they meet a strange lady in the desert who gives them enigmatic warnings. When they finally reach the dig, they end up wedged in between a stubborn American archeologist and a bloodsucking undead tomb guardian. Actually, it's a quaint little matinee potboiler with a decent script and a good cast. It doesn't exactly reach above its genre or anything, but it is a nice enough little flick if you're in the mood for some fluff. | VHS | . | |
